Kitikmeot Caterers is a joint venture between Kitikmeot Corporation and Horizon North Logistics (formerly the partnership was with Pioneer Site Services, whose interest was sold to Horizon North in December, 2007), established to provide camp catering services including housekeeping and janitorial services to the mining and exploration sector, in both the NWT and Nunavut.

With the purchase of the shares of Pioneer Site Services by Horizon North Logistics, the scope of our business expanded. That is, in addition to providing catering, housekeeping and janitorial services to mining and exploration camps we can now supply various modular camp structures. We also have strong capability in the provision of potable and waste water treatment plant maintenance services.

A key objective of Kitikmeot Caterers is the provision of training and employment opportunities for the Inuit of the Kitikmeot Region. A number of Camp Cook and Camp Attendant courses have been featured, in order to prepare Inuit for employment in this field.
